As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I teach clients that being healthy is not just about the food on their plates; it’s about the water they drink, the air they breathe, the love in their lives, the amount of exercise they get, whether they have fulfilling careers and spiritual practices, and so on. Primary food (the things I just mentioned and more) and secondary food (the food you eat) are looked at together rather than separately, in order to take a holistic approach to wellness.
